Phil Wickham jumped onto the Christian Music scene in 2006 with his self titled album, and soon after began to climb the Christian music charts. His heartfelt and honest music is placed well on your ears via a powerful tenor voice with plenty of vibrato. Something often missing from many of todays popular male vocalists. Wickham followed up his freshman album with “Canons” and the live acoustic, “Sing-Along” my personal favorite. “Sing-Along” was available on his website free of charge for some time, (philwickham.com), but is currently not featured there. “Heaven and Earth” is by far Wickham’s best produced album and features a wide range of sonic expression from airy synthesizer to growling electric. The album not only sounds great, but the message amidst the music is extremely powerful. “Your Arrival” is a well described look at how we as believers anticipate Christ’s return and the worshipful, “Because of Your Love” is a great description of what we have received through the cross. If you are looking for something fresh that is encouraging and musically driving, “Heaven and Earth” is a must have. All of Wickham’s music is available on iTunes or at philwickham.com
